TARIFFS
All prices shown online are per person
per night (unless otherwise stated). Until you receive a confirmed
booking, prices are subject to change without notice. Prices do not
include any incidental charges and such charges are payable by you
on your departure. In the event that you fail to pay any such
incidental charges, it is a condition of your contract with us that
you irrevocably authorise us to debit your credit or debit card
(see 'Deposits and Pre-payments' below) for the amount of any
shortfall. The prices shown online are not valid in
conjunction with any other offer.
ON ISLAND TRANSFERS
The hotel provides a complimentary
luggage transfer service between the harbour and the hotel.
Guests wishing to use this service should ensure that luggage is
clearly identified with the hotels name as well as the guests.
AVAILABILITY
The availability of rooms at the rates
shown online may be limited and/or restricted to certain
periods.
CHILDREN
A child in a cot can stay for £10 per
night when sharing a suitable room with adults. Children from the
ages of 3 to 14 are charged £20 per child per night for bed and
breakfast, when sharing with adults. Availability of suitable rooms
is limited to the number of family rooms which have two bunk beds
and/or the use of portable beds. The hotel reserves the right to
determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer.
Children's menus are available and charges are made
accordingly.
PETSWe regret that pets are not permitted in the hotel or its
grounds.
THE RED ROOM
Complimentary use of our private
snooker and pool room is available to our hotel guests. Please
check the availability with reception should you wish to use this
facility. Standard terms and conditions apply.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Hotel rooms are available from 2pm on
the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 10 am on the day of
departure, unless otherwise agreed with the hotel manager.
DEPOSITS AND ADVANCE PAYMENTS
Reservations are confirmed on receipt
of a deposit. Deposits can be paid by debit or credit card,
cash or cheque drawn on a UK bank. Euros are accepted.
BALANCE OF MONIES DUE
On arrival you will be asked to
produce a valid debit or credit card for the hotel to take
authorisation. We accept all major credit cards, including
MasterCard, Visa and American Express. Credit or debit card
authorisation will be held until the account is settled in
full.
Payment can be made by cheque drawn on
a UK bank and supported by a current cheque guarantee card.
Payments may also be made in cash in Sterling or Euros.
CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
Deposits are strictly non refundable
in the event of cancellation. A deposit can be transferred to
another booking if a cancellation is made with more than 72 hours
notice.
The hotel cannot be held responsible
for any delay or cancellation due to weather conditions, therefore
all guests are advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance.If
after your confirmation has been issued you wish to change your
arrangements in any way we will do our utmost to make the changes,
but unfortunately, this may not always be possible. You will be
advised of any changes in cost as soon as possible. Every
effort will be made to accommodate any specific requests which you
may have during your stay with us, but we are unable guarantee that
we will be able to meet any particular requests which you may make
and our failure in this regard will not constitute a breach of
contract.
In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your
reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the
right to:accept the amended arrangements as specified, or make
alternative arrangements with us, or cancel your reservation and
receive a full refund of any monies that have paid to us in respect
of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for
any monies which you have paid to any other persons in
connection with your reservation).For the avoidance of doubt, we
shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the
cancellation of any online booking.
COMPLAINTS, COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS
We appreciate that even with our best
efforts, on occasions problems may occur. If you experience a
problem with any aspect of your stay please inform the hotel
manager as soon as possible. We will do our very best to resolve
issues quickly. Feedback of any kind is helpful to us and we
encourage you to complete our guest questionnaire. Any problems
which cannot be resolved promptly, should be notified in writing to
The Group Hotel Manager, Sark Estate Management, La Petite Heche,
Sark, GY9 OSB. We will aim to respond within 28 days of
receipt.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Whilst every effort has been made to
ensure the accuracy of the information contained herein we cannot
accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the
right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information
or offers featured online at any time. Subject to the
paragraph immediately below, we shall not be liable to you for any
loss or damage in circumstances where:
• there is no breach of a legal duty
owed to you by us or by our employees or agents;
• such loss or damage is not a
reasonably foreseeable result of any such breach;
• any increase in loss or damage
resulting from breach by you of any term of our contract;
• any loss is in excess of the fee
payable in respect of your stay.
Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits our
liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or
fraudulent misrepresentation.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by Guernsey law and
the Guernsey courts shall have jurisdiction over any matter arising
out of or in connection with them.
